WEEKEND with TANGUITO CEJAS

We are delighted to welcome back Andres 'Tanguito' Cejas to teach for us at The Tango Room.

Tanguito has had a long and illustrious career in Argentine tango.

He has toured extensively with his wife Genoveva Fernandez performing with orchestras such as Mariano Mores, and Sexteto Mayor. 

He has taught in schools internationally and is well regarded in Buenos Aires having been awarded

the prestigious “Maria Ruanova” diploma honoris causa as master of Tango for his contribution to teaching Tango at National and International levels by the "Argentine Council of Dance".

He studied with some of the greats of tango including Gerald Portalea , Petaca El Chino Perico, Pibe Avellaneda and the legendary Osvaldo Zotto.

Now based in Boedo, Buenos Aires he co runs the popular Thursday Practica De Querusa

and he regularly sits on the Jury of the Grand Final of 'El mundial de Tango' BA.

'Tanguito' epitomises the style of Traditional Salon Tango, and is the most generous of  teachers sharing his extensive knowledge of the dance and Tango culture.
